Project: Well Library Search
Role: Sr UX Designer
Duration: 36 months
Team: Field Service Engineers & Project Managers, Data Scientists & Backend Developers, Frontend Developers, UX Researcher,
Problem
Engineers and field service teams struggle to efficiently locate and access critical well documentation (DDR, FWR, EOWR) because data is fragmented across multiple formats, systems, and storage locations. This results in long search times, incomplete information, and reduced effectiveness in well planning, ultimately delaying project timelines and impacting decision quality.
Summary
As a Sr. UX Designer, I redesigned the Well Library Search to address inefficiencies in how engineers accessed critical well documentation. By mapping workflows, I uncovered pain points around fragmented data and time-consuming searches, then co-created solutions like geolocation-based search, metadata filters, and document previews. Through iterative prototyping and testing, I ensured the experience was intuitive and collaborative. The final solution cut document retrieval time significantly, reduced planning cycles, and improved decision quality for engineers.

Well Planning Digital Equipments.
Project: WPDE Manager Slides
Role: Sr UX Designer
Duration: 36 months
Team: Field Service Engineers & Project Managers, Data Scientists & Backend Developers, Frontend Developers, UX Researcher,
Problem
The well planning process across multiple product lines is fragmented, relying heavily on emails, siloed documents, and ad hoc communication, which leads to inefficiencies, delays, and errors. Engineers and project managers lack visibility into project status, task ownership, and dependencies, making collaboration difficult and decision-making slow. Existing tools do not provide a centralized workspace to manage tasks, documentation, approvals, and cross-product coordination, resulting in repeated work, inconsistent well plans, and reduced productivity. WPDE Manager addresses these challenges by creating a unified digital environment for planning, collaboration, and workflow management.
Summary
I led the design of WPDE Manager to transform a fragmented, email-heavy well planning process into a unified, collaborative digital workspace. By engaging with engineers and project leaders across multiple product lines, I uncovered pain points around low visibility, scattered documentation, and slow decision-making. Using design thinking, I prototyped a solution integrating task boards, document management, and automated notifications to streamline workflows, reduce cycle times, and improve plan quality. The platform enables real-time collaboration, transparency, and efficient orchestration of complex well construction projects.
